Where are you located?
What are your hours?
We are open from 6:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
In addition, we offer a free “Parents Night Out” two times per year. This is a time for you to drop your kids off on a Friday evening for four hours absolutely free.
Do you provide transportation?
Transportation to and from several Hobart schools is available at First Academy. Please contact us to be sure your particular school is included.
How many children are in each class?
1 yr. old class 1 teacher for every 5 students
2 yr. old class 1 teacher for every 5 students
2.5 yr. old class 1 teacher for every 7 students
3 yr. old class 1 teacher for every 10 students
4 yr. old class 1 teacher for every 12 students
5 yr. old class 1 teacher for every 15 students
6-12 yr. old class 1 teacher for every 20 students
Are there extra-curricular activities?
First Academy offers a wide variety of events and activities for the children that are in addition to regularly scheduled class times.
Do you use a certain curriculum?
At First Academy, we are committed to the education of children and believe that quality child care begins with careful and thoughtful planning. Our goals are to promote a positive self-concept and to help the child develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
The Pinnacle Curriculum that we follow encourages the social, mental and emotional development of every child and is designed to engage children in developmentally appropriate learning activities. Weekly lesson plans include art, math & manipulatives, science & sensory, dramatic play, cooking, music, language, as well as physical coordination.
What are your rates?
Tuition at First Academy is comparable to all other childcare facilities in the immediate area. We offer full-time childcare, as well as before & after school rates. Additionally, there is a non-refundable registration/curriculum fee assessed annually.
Tuition is to be paid no later than 6 p.m. Friday for the following week; a late fee of $5.00 per week will be assessed to all payments made on Monday or later. We accept cash, check, or money orders. Cash payments are to be exact change only. There is no discount for holidays. All accounts must be paid to date in order for children to take part in any special activities, i.e.. Free Parent’s Night Out, graduation, field trips etc.
